The 5 Liquid Lipsticks that will CHANGE your life.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, matte lips are IN. They’re everywhere – the creamy nudes complimenting the relaxed look, and the beautiful, deep magenta & red tones scattered throughout crowded parties for a more intense look. But which one is the best?
I’ve been fortunate to try out about a billion (okay, maybe 25) different matte lipsticks, and I’ve managed to narrow it down to the top 5 that you absolutely have to try. Wear them at the beach, on a hot date or just to work - they'll brighten your day and make you feel (and look!) fabulous.
I’d never heard of Klara Cosmetics before the Priceline expo a few months ago, and now I’m utterly obsessed with the brand. Out of all their products, they’ve absolutely nailed it with the Kiss Proof Lips. They’re extremely pigmented, and give you full coverage with so many beautiful shades. They don’t come off unless you actually take them off with makeup remover, and the texture is very creamy and hydrating. Favourite shade – Sienna Nude
Known for their incredible hair colours and for being one of the ‘funnest’ brands on the market, Brite absolutely OWNS it when it comes to their range of matte lipsticks. Each tube is 9g (massive!) and the colours are insane for this range. The best part? They’re vegan AND cruelty free. They won’t dry out your lips and the colour will even stay on at the beach or when you’re going for a swim. Favourite shade – Mad (insane purple/red/magenta)
A cosmetics brand that I’m sure you’re all familiar with, Kat Von D are known for their quality, long-lasting products and the Everlasting Liquid lipstick is no different. It’s absolutely packed with pigments, and is enriched with Vitamin E and sunflower seed leaves to make your lips feel conditioned all day. It glides on like a gloss and dries within minutes for a beautiful matte finish. Favourite shade – L.U.V Rich Violet
There are 101 reasons to love Colorpop, but the main reason is because these babies feel so damn high end, and they’re SO affordable. Whilst they’re not available in Australia, there’s actually free international shipping at the moment so get on it. They come in a million colours, stay on, don’t get rough and keep your lips hydrated. At only $6 a pop, these are well worth the investment. Favourite Shade – Cheap Thrills
If I had an absolute favourite, it would have to be this longwear lipstick. It’s simple enough – apply to the lipstick to lips, wait a couple of mins and then apply the hyalauronic gel over the top. This lipstick NEVER transfers, and people always complement me when I wear it. You don’t need a lip primer, it actually will last 24 hours and it won’t feather or flake. If you can only get one lippy, then get this baby in EVERY colour!
