Mother's Day Gift Guide 2017

You know, I bloody love my mum more than anything in this world. I don’t say it enough to her, but she’s a shining star in my life and inspires me each and every day. For me, Mother’s Day is just another day to let her know how much I love her, but every day really should be Mother’s Day.

This year, I was trying to figure out the perfect present. I love my mum, but she can be hard to buy for sometimes and I was running out of the normal options. I started looking into it, and I couldn’t find an affordable, relatable Mother’s Guide anywhere… so I put one together for myself.

Whether your mum just loves pretty things (and is easy to buy for), needs to treat herself (and relax!) or pretty much has everything (and is HARD to buy for), I’ve got you covered with my Mother’s Day Gift Guide here at Live with Elle.

Enjoy, and let me know in the comments what you’re getting your mum or grandma on this special day. You’ve got a week to get it together so GO GO GO!

THE MUM WHO LOVES PRETTY THINGS

There are some mums out there who are extremely easy to buy for, and will love anything you give them… seriously. For those mums, you could buy them a paper bag and they’d be happy, so this curated collection of genuinely gorgeous products will be sure to put a smile on any mum’s face.

Amity Created Teacup  $45

Nothing says ‘beautiful’ like an individually hand painted, Fine Bone China teacup with a matching saucer. This divine set is handpainted in Derbyshire, England and arrives on your doorstep in a lovely box with matching gift wrap and an inspirational card.

Babor Collagen Boost Infusion $268

Designed as a four-week course of treatment, the Collagen Boost Infusion is the ideal way to kick off an intensive plumping treatment, that will leave your mum’s skin glowing and have her feeling more beautiful than ever!

Jurlique Rose Hand Cream Handpicked $69

Each year Jurlique releases a limited edition of their handpicked rose cream, and this year it’s scented with 1800 Rose Gallica bushes from the Jurlique Farm that were handpicked in January this year. Not only is the scent divine, it’s the prettiest hand cream I’ve ever seen.

IT Cosmetics Superhero Palette

My mum is obsessed with IT Cosmetics as a brand, so it was a no brainer including their latest palette, the IT Cosmetics Superhero Palette. The palette includes three amazing eye foundations, that colour correct your eyelids and prepare to hold your divine new eyeshadow colours.

VoeurnChea Travel Clutch Wallet (in Blush) $149

With dusty pink the ‘must-have’ colour this season, I couldn’t help but include this gorgeous clutch. Made from Saffiano leather, it’s the perfect clutch to take you from day to night, fits everything in and is so classical that it will never date. The perfect addition to your mum’s next outfit!

Circa Home Mini Candle Trio $32.95

My mum has always said “You can never have enough candles”, and it’s a sentiment that I completely agree with. Circa Home has narrowed their three most popular scents into an adorable trio mix that consist of Jasmine & Magnolia, Pear & Lime and Mango & Papaya.

MUM WHO NEEDS TO TREAT YO SELF

Everyone deserves a break, especially your mum – she’s raised you and spent every single year you’ve been alive worrying about you! It’s time to give back and help your mum to treat herself! Whether it’s through food, pampering or a sneaky drink, these gifts are sure to put a smile on your mum’s face.

DMK Mother’s Day Packs $228.50 - $307.50

I’ve personally been going to DMK Skin Clinic for a couple of months now, and use all my skincare products from them. They’re amazing and actually work, and they have AWESOME Mother’s Day Gift Packs. My pick? The ‘Gift of Great Skin’ – includes Seba-E, Herb and Mineral Mist, Milk Cleanser, Nite Firming Crème, Revise-A and a DMK toiletry bag. You save $104 and their products are seriously the bomb

Guerlain Fragrances $50 - $100

Nothing gives me more confidence than smelling divine, so I couldn’t go past the Guerlain Shalimar Souffle De Parfum and the Mon Guerlain Eau De Parfum. They’re both beautiful, light scents that stay on the entire day and will leave everyone asking “what perfume are you wearing?”

Cadbury Roses

I don’t know about you, but mum is a total choc-aholic. She’ll eat just about any type, but I couldn’t go past the original Cadbury Roses chocolates. They’ve introduce two new flavours (Dark Mocha and Salted Caramel), so get ready to probably be offered nothing by the time your mum finished with the box!

Rogue Society Gin $84.95

When I think of ‘Treat yo self’, the classic G&T comes to mind. The Rogue Society Gin is New Zealand born, hand crafted gin is seriously amazing, and based on a 300 year old recipe that has definitely withstood the test of time. The bottle is beautiful and it’s the smoothest gin I’ve ever had.

Trefiel ‘New You’ Pack $32.95

I love masks. I’m what some would call a ‘mask-addict’, and I was so excited to see that Trefiel (the prettiest lace-esque masks) had released a pack with four different masks. The pack includes a repairing mask moisturising mask, brightening mask and firming mask. Mum’s only problem will be which one to do first!

Clean Treats Chock Chip Cookie Dough $14.95

If your mum loves her naughty treats, these Clean Treats may be the perfect alternative. Gluten, Dairy and Refined sugar free (as well as Vegan), their Choc Chip Cookie Dough balls are my favourite ‘clean’ treat ever. Try making them with your mum and enjoy together, they’re super easy, fast and delicious.

Bonne Ma Mann Conserves

Call me old fashioned, but my mum and I love to sit down to scones with jam & cream as often as we can with a cuppa. I recently re-discovered Bonne Maman, and I’m obsessed. If you haven’t tried their Rubarb Conserve, I’d highly suggest it. I went to a cheese & jam pairing with them the other day and WOW – who knew jam & cheese went so well together?!

MUM WHO’S HARD TO BUY FOR

Last but not least, there are the mums who are impossible to buy for. Maybe they’ve said they don’t want anything, or that they’ve got everything. Whatever the situation, I can guarantee you that your mum 100% does not at least 2 of these items, and if she does… I’m impressed! From family games to divine jewellery, here are Live with Elle’s picks for mums who are hard to buy for in our Mother’s Day Gift Guide.

Collette Earrings $15

Most mums probably own earrings, heck, I know my own mum has severl pairs. But statement drop earrings are another story entirely. You can wear these Colette earrings with ANY outfit, and they’ll transform it to night time worthy instantly. These really are statement earrings and your mum will feel fabulous wearing these.

Cocktail Traders Chocolate Lover or Gin Lover Gift Set $69.95

I recently stumbled on Cocktail Traders, and instantly fell in love. If your mum likes a cheeky drink, then either their Chocolate Love or Gin Lover Gift Sets are perfect. They come with a premium bottle of either chocolate liquer or gin, a Spirited Candle Company scented candle and a Stewart & Claire Old Fashioned Lip Balm. Seriously awesome, and they arrive in a beautiful gift box that is already wrapped – super easy for someone looking for a last minute gift!

Fuelbox (Family) $79

When I stumbled across Fuelbox, I was so impressed straight away. They’ve got a product that no one else (as far as I’m aware) has covered, and it’s perfect for all types of people. A Fuelbox contains questions and conversation starters that you participate with with other people to learn more about them. Think family trivia night but actually learning and engaging with one another. The family edition contains 176 cards and is serious UNREAL!

The Online Jewellery Company Personalised Necklaces $49.95

When you give someone a gift that is personalised, it instantly shows that you acutally put effort into a present. The Online Jewellery Company has HEAPS of options, but I gravitated towards the rose gold personalised necklaces and couldn’t be happier. They come packaged in a beautiful little bag, and then inside a box – they are truly beautiful and you feel so special when you wear their products.

Evodia - Victoria Rose $17.95 - $25.95

Sure, there are heaps of beautiful body products already in existence, but there is something truly special about the Victoria Rose category by Evodia. Their Body Mist and Hand & Body Wash are my two favourites, and they smell like you’re actually showering yourself in roses. Not only that, but they are visually stunning and will brighten up any bathroom.
