REVIEW: Radisson Blu Edwardian in Manchester

Located in the very heart of Manchester lies the Radisson Blu Edwardian, a 5-star hotel with first-class spa and healthcare facilities.  Decked out with its very own pool, gym, Michelin star restaurant and 24-hour concierge, it’s the perfect location for a weekend away in Manchester.

Surrounded by popular bars and restaurants, the Radisson Blue Edwardian is in a dream location if you’re planning on exploring the city! It recently went through a multi-million pound refurbishment, that has left the hotel feeling fresh, modern and still paying tribute to the original foundations and architecture.

We arrived very late on the Friday night (thanks to car troubles), and were a little stressed when we got there. From the moment we arrived at the Radisson Blu Edwardian, the staff went above and beyond. The concierge met us at the door, and welcomed us in with a big smile. We were checked in in record time, and escorted to our beautiful rooms.

We stayed in the Business Room, which was located on the 11th floor. The view from the entire floor is breathtaking, with the entirety of Manchester visible thanks to the sheer height of the building. The rooms are very well equipped, with luxurious beds, desks, views to die for and the bathtub of my dreams (which has REN bath products… luxe!).

The room was immaculately clean, and the air conditioner had set the room at a perfect 23 degrees Celsius. I’m not even sure how to begin explaining how comfortable the bed was; it was like physically sleeping on a cloud. The deep queen sized bed was topped with a thick duvet, and I ended up asking what brand the pillows were, as they were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on.

The Radisson Blu Edwardian offers a free buffet breakfast for some bookings, so make sure you get it included with your booking! It was a delicious buffet and the perfect start to the day. The wifi is extremely fast as well, so if you’re like me a Netflix fiend, you’re in luck.

Overall, we had such a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Edwardian in Manchester, and I’d highly recommend it. Nowhere offers a more central location, and this is affordable luxury at its finest! Rates start at around £120 a night, and you can book HERE.
