REVIEW: In the heart of Tivoli Gardens; the Nimb Hotel.

Expect the unexpected during a stay at the five-star Nimb Hotel in Copenhagen. From the peacocks wandering the grounds to being able to step into the very theme park that inspired Walt Disney, the Nimb has got it all.

From the moment you walk into Nimb, you’re instantly transported into another world. If you’ve ever seen the movie ‘Avatar’, think that type of world. A towering water feature roars through the lobby, and there is life everywhere. The Nimb isn’t just a hotel; it’s an entirely new planet.

We were greeted by very welcoming front desk staff, and trotted through the halls like excited children. The hotel has recently expanded and opened a brand new wing that is full of magnificent features. It’s an architect’s dream, with light slashing through the wooden panes that are meticulously organised across the windows.

This is where we stayed, in a new suite that has an expansive balcony overlooking Tivoli gardens. Inside the suite was modern luxury meets Scandi - it was stunning. Each of the 28 unique rooms in Nimb hotel are all individually decorated, with the intention of giving guests a home-away-from-home experience. Each room includes Geismar’s linen, antiques and BeoVision TV.

There were two main stand-out features of the suite; the bed and the bathroom. The bed was enormous four poster bed, that could only be described (quite stereotypically) as sleeping on a cloud.

The bathroom consisted of the biggest bathtub you’ve ever seen, as well as being decked out in Meraki beauty products for everything. There’s nothing so relaxing as knowing it’s snowing outside, whilst you’re in the Phillipe Starck two-person bathtub, with a Meraki face mask on sipping on one of the Nimb’s signature cocktails.

It’s little wonder that Nimb Hotel has won so many award, for both its location in one of the world’s oldest amusement gardens, as well as its service and interior. If you’re looking for a magical break away in the Copenhagen, you can’t go past the Nimb. Five stars with a twist, this magical hotel leaves every guest with the urge to go back… instantly!
