The TriBella Treatment by Venus Concept Review #TriedandTested
Welcome to the first instalment of #TriedandTested, where I’m trying the weird, whacky and wonderful treatments that the beauty world has to offer. In this first article, I was offered to try the TriBella Treatment by Venus Concept . A $1000 facial, it sounded out of this world - but was it really worth it? Read on to see what my thoughts were…
I had my appointment at Clean Clear and Correct Skin in Mosman, where I was greeted by the lovely team. Instantly, I felt at peace. The clinic was light, bright and had a calming atmosphere that really made me feel comfortable.
I met my gorgeous beauty therapist, Aoife, and was led to a treatment room. We discussed my skin issues (oily t-zone, dry skin on my cheeks and blackheads on my nose), and then Aoife talked me through the treatment.
But first, a little bit of a background on Venus Concept and the TriBella Treatment.
Venus Concept are a global leader in the medical aesthetics industry, and use cutting-edge technology to develop safe, non-invasive devices that address today’s most in-demand aesthetic needs.
The TriBella is a complete aesthetic facial therapy treatment, exclusively from Venus Versa and is the winner of the MyFaceMyBody 2018 awards. Using three applicators with distinct modes of action, the TriBella is a fusion of three unique technologies that promised to provide an ‘unparalleled outcome’. It’s the ultimate skin rejuvenation treatment that enhances tone, tightness and texture.
^ my skin before the treatment
The whole treatment goes for around 1.5 hours, and you’ll read varying reviews on the web about pain. For me personally, there little pain at all! I’d say 2 out of the 3 treatments were painless and actually quite relaxing - only the final stage of skin resurfacing hurt a tiny bit.
The Venus Concepts Tribella treatment consists of three stages, all of which work differently to create dreamy, soft skin.
Stage one is the Skin Tightening, which uses is powered by (MP)2 Multi-Polar Radio Frequency (RF) to enhance collagen and elastin production. This helps to reduce wrinkles and rhytides, and provides a temporary tightening effect to the skin. This stage was so relaxing that I almost drifted off to sleep! Think of it as a hot stone massage on your face, where you can physically feel like your skin drawing in and becoming tighter. If the entire TriBella Facial is out of your budget, you can do the Skin Tightening as a treatment on its own. It’s great to do before a big event, and is like a mini (temporary) facelift!
Stage Two is Photo Rejuvenation. It utilises intense pulsed light (IPL) technology with diamond polar to deliver direct bursts of energy onto targeted ares of the skin, which includes pigmented skin and benign vascular lesions. It reduces age spots, and broken capillaries (those annoying ones that sit at the bottom of your nose!) This stage also stimulates collagen production, and is another way to make your skin feel fresh and tight.
The third and final stage is Skin Resurfacing. It uses NanoFractional RF to improve the appearance of textural skin conditions such as acne scars, rosacea, uneven skin texture, pigmentation and enlarged pores. Before this stage, my beauty therapist applied a topical numbing cream for 10 minutes (though I think I would have been fine without it). This ablative treatment creates changes from the top layer of skin to the bottom, causing trauma to the skin. When the body responds, it creates new collage and skin cells, which can help to get rid of scars and superficial pigmentation.
^ my skin straight after the treatment, and 24 hours after (glowing!)
Straight after the treatment, I felt weirdly relaxed. The entire treatment lasted for 90 minutes, with a 10 minute break in between each stage to let the skin rest. My skin felt tight from the Skin Tightening, and a little red from the other two stages. It was still glowing though - red or not, it felt great! Over the next few weeks, I watched as my skin went through an incredible transformation.
While the facial initially brought out more pigmentation (eek!), after a few weeks it all faded away, leaving my skin feeling soft, smooth and with an almost permanent glow. I’ve definitely noticed a reduction in redness and broken capillaries around my nose, and my skin feels overall softer and also allows my makeup to sit much nicer.
^^ my skin after 4 weeks, it just keeps getting better and better
While I wouldn’t personally spend $1000 on this facial, I’d definitely recommend trying out different elements of it, particularly the Skin Tightening and Photo Rejuvenation, which you can get as a more affordable package from Clear Clean and Correct Skin Mosman. You can view all of their pricing here, and read more about the Venus Versa TriBella facial here.
