Review: The Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort

Just a couple of hours from Sydney is the beautiful Port Stephens; a magnificent beachside town with stunning sand dunes, coastal walks, stunning beaches and national parks. If you’re an outdoor explorer, enjoy the great outdoors and are looking for your next adventure, Port Stephens is the place for you.

We were lucky enough to spend a few nights unwinding at the Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort. It was everything and more we’d hoped for; a central location, beautiful accommodation and home to Australia’s largest swimming pool! The Pacific Blue Resort is a tranquil wayside retreat, which includes an onsite gym, heated spas, tennis courts, a lap pool and Japanese steam room.

If you’re going to visit, I can’t recommend staying in one of the Swimout Lagoon rooms enough. From your room you have direct (and private) access to the pool, and an absolutely enormous 1 or 2 bedroom apartment. We stayed in the 1 Bedroom swimout room, that featured a king size bed, an enormous private balcony, massive kitchen with all the amenities you’d ever need, luxurious spa bath, laundry facilities and a TV in both the lounge room and bedroom.

The king size bed is extremely comfortable, and the bifold screen doors mean you can have as much (or as little) privacy as you want. We slept extremely well, and there was zero disturbance noise thanks to the cleverly mapped out apartments. If you love bathtubs like me (I honestly book places just because of them!), then you will LOVE the Pacific Blue Resort in Port Stephens. Our apartment had an enormous spa bath, complete with spa jets and the lot.

The kitchen is also completely decked out, with a full sized fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave, toaster, kettle and all the kitchenware you’d ever need. There’s also a laundry and dryer in the room, which means if you’re staying over a few days you’ve got the facilities right there in your apartment!

Home to Australia’s largest pool, it’s little wonder that Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort is a tourist hotspot all year round. We visited in winter, and the pool wasn't heated, but we were able to make the most of the divine jacuzzi spas and Japanese steam room! You can book your room HERE at the Oaks Port Stephens and let me know in the comments below if you loved it as much as I did! X
